Though the various technologies have been adopted for waste separation, most of the processes follow the manual method, and hence the dust bins are not probably used by the public. In this proposed product, we planned to motivate the public to use wastage bins by giving them credit points. Also, in this proposed work, some techniques have been followed to separate the wastes like paper, plastic and metal individually.

For identifying the different types of wastes, various sensors like inductively, IR proximity have been interfaced with the microcontroller. Credit points will be given to the users, based on the wastes put into the bin by them.The mobile number of the user can be entered into the bin using the keypad, and the information about the waste dumped into the bin by the user and credit point earned by them is notified via SMS to their mobile phone. In the product, we interlink the technologies along with social responsibilities, which encourage the public to use the bin for wastes. Also, separate the wastes which make way for easy recycling of wastes, and thereby this product also plays an important role in a clean and healthy environment.
